Hiya fellow British and Scottish friends!

I have discovered this awesome piece a software named Ghelper for my ASUS ROG G15 laptop. I did played around bit and it works real great, increased fan speeds too it is a real deal. However I have one single question: Ghelper > Mode: Fan > GPU tab > Temperature target 87c by default. I like to know what would be the result if I lower the slider to some more closer numbers, such as 75c or 70c? Would it also reduce the RTX 3060 GPU temps? Temp Target feature used to reduce the GPU heat and allowing the throttle start earlier? Is this a good stuff to do for overall temp of my dgpu?

Thank you!

Assuming you have the 2022 version;
and you're working with the Ryzen HX SKU of processors apart from the RTX 3060, have you tried undervolting the processor using Ryzen Master's Curve Optimizer? As for your RTX3060, you can also perform an undervolt and that should help curb the temps in your laptop.
^ You should do this in tandem with repasting the laptop with a higher quality thermal paste and replacing the thermal pads with something higher in quality.

Yes I do have indeed 2022 edition but it is 7 6800HS with RTX3060 and it is Zephyrus. I tried to run Ryzen Master sadly though it kept giving me error with fonts in caps "this system is not supported" some text like this if memory serves right.

So I take it temperature target is not an option? I rather not to deal with thermal paste and internal parts as my thumbs are somewhat large can mess up lots of things in there, plus, it is liquid metal.

Lowering the GPU temperature target in GHelper to around 70-75°C will make your fans kick in earlier and run more aggressively, which can reduce your GPU temps and help avoid thermal throttling. It basically tells the system to start cooling sooner, so the GPU won’t get as hot but might run a bit louder. This is generally good for keeping temps down and improving stability, especially on laptops like the ROG G15, where thermals can get tight. Just keep an eye on noise levels and performance to find a balance that works for you.
