Asus laptop, keyboard backlight wont turn on.

I recently had my laptop manually updated by microsoft and the person who did it disabled a few settings, one of them was my laptops backlight. I have no idea how to turn it back on, i am in windows 10 and my laptop model is GL552JX

Uninstall the keyboard drivers and reinstall them

install ATK Package for the hot keys on the ASUS support Drivers page
