Asus laptop wont turn on when plugged in with AC adapter but without battery... When the battery in in it wont charge

I have an asus laptop.. And recently i bought a new AC adapter on amazon... The thing is that when i plugged in the AC adapter the light which shows that the battery is charging didnt turn on ... And then i removed the battery. and saw that the laptop was not turning on too.. I checked the AC adapter and ecerything is fine the light on the Brick of the charger is on ...

Hi, are you sure the voltage on the new adapter is the same as the old one?

Hi, are you sure the voltage on the new adapter is the same as the old one?

I have the same problem. The charger is the same. I tried a universal charger and it still doesn't turn on.

I just left it unplugged after two new adaptors it suddenly started up on my old charger I find Asus a pain
Not good. Now have two charger I don’t need.
