Asus launcher service

hello all,

i have windows 7 running on my netbook (asus eee pc 1001pxd) and when i open the services menu (services.msc) i see the service "asus launcher service."
can anyone tell me where this service is for,please?
i googled for it briefly but without result.

just one more question:can i set the asus launcher service on manual and what are the consequences?please explain a little bit.
