ASUS lep top does not fit Monitor Screen Fully

I'm trying to connect my asus x551ma-sx020d laptop to my full HD LG tv and the size does not fit Monitor Screen Fully
i tryied to change my rezolution and my max rezolution is only 1366 X 768 ( not full HD ) I gues its a driver problem?
i will be happy for help 'cous i dont know how to fix it, wich driver i should donload and how.

Close the lid on your laptop and you will get more resolution options to choose from when the TV is the only video destination.
If you still don't get the option for 1080, try rebooting with the lid closed using the TV as your only monitor.
