ASUS M11BB with Windows 8.1 - I hate it....Ive Windows 7 DVD from old PC...HELP ME PLZ

Hi, I bought a new PC in a bit of a hurry and have made a huge mistake.
It's the ASUS Desktop M11BB and comes with Windows 8 on it, I so want my old Windows 7 back on it.
I still have my OEM Windows 7 dvd, but no matter what I select in the BIOS options,it wont boot from the dvd.

I've restored a pc many times and it's usually a doddle but not with this bitch.

Anyone out there with any ideas.

Go into the BIOS and enable Legacy booting, EFI booting wont let you install Windows 7, also you will also need to disable secure boot in the BIOS as well, to allow booting from CD/USB.

Many many thanks for the quick reply. If I install windows 7 ami right in thinking that the partition that hides the windows 8 will still remain ......God forbid that I ever need it back,but I was just curious....many thanks gain...V Much Appreciated .

When you install windows 7 you can wipe the whole disk or delete some partitions, I assume you could delete the partitions (other than the recovery partition) and then I ASSUME will be able to recover to Windows 8 in the future if you wanted, but I am not 100% sure.

I had a fastboot setup.....it's now gone....anyone tell me how to speed things up....thx
