I just built another PC and again it's not gone smoothly again LOL, i'm sure I have the worst luck with components.
The post looks all fine until it gets to detecting IDE / SATA devices, it detecys the SATA HDD ok, but does not detect the ATA Optical drives on the primary IDE connector, one drive is new and the other is from the donor PC, I have tried swapping cables using both the new cable from ASUS and the old cable from the donor PC, the connector was properly connected at both ends and all power/data cables were connected.
Any ideas what to check next, dosent seem to be any issues like this on the net so i'm guessing it might just be faulty, but as i cant get the RMA bandwaggon rolling until Monday just wanted to know if there was anything else i could try?
