Asus M2N-VM-DVI motherboard - Problem with DVI port

I have a problem with my Asus M2N-VM-DVI motherboard.

The DVI port is failing. I came to this conclusion because of a blank screen on my monitor, when the DVI connector is used. When I test it with another DVI capable machine, the display does appear.

Will flashing the BIOS help? Could there be something else, beyond my means to repair?

How long have you had the motherboard? If the event happened all of a sudden without you making any significant changes to your BIOS, then the port is most likely shot.
