Asus M2V AM2 VIAK8T890

Hi!

I wanted to know if i could be able to use a 8800gts with this motherboard and still be able to use the both IDE connecters without the 8800gts blocking it.

You can google images 'M2V VIAK8T890' to see the motherboard i am talking about.

btw what do you make of this motherboard i would like to hear your opinions.

hi thanks for your reply, i need a motherboard that has 2 IDE connectors as I'll be using both of them.

What do you think of the the Asus M2N4-SLI Socket AM2 Nvidia nforce 500

and the Asus M2N-E SLI nforce 500?

I would really like to hear your opinions as it seems this motherboard meets my needs, i just need to know whether they're good.

If anyone knows of any AM2 motherboard with 2 IDE connectors please let me know

They look OK. You may also want to consider some IDE->SATA adapters if you have 3 or 4 IDE drives.

Well funnily enough i was looking for those IDE to SATA adapters today and found them.

So i decided that I'll choose one of these two motherboards as I've read quite good reviews on them.

Gigabyte GA M7SLI-S-S4 which is out of stock currently so I'll wait for that.

Or i could go with EVGA nForce 590 SLI if the Gigabyte mb isn't back in stock soon.

they have only one IDE connectors but i will buy 2 of those adapters and hopefully it will work on those SATA connectors

Thats true and i was initialy looking at those boards but could'nt find any with 2 IDE connectors as i needed both, but the circumstances have changed as i will be getting an IDE to SATA adapter so now i will be going for one thoses boards i mentioned in my last post.
