Question ASUS M32CD CPU HELP (i5-6600 skylake to i7-7700 kabylake)

Hello all, need some help here.
I can tinker with PCs but I am no pro.
My sons PC is an older M32 from Asus.

It was running a i3-6100 but I upgraded to i5-6600.
Now I was wondering would it accept the i7-7700 non K version?

On the Asus site I see two bios one for skylake and other for kabylake
Do I first flash the bios using the kabylake one? or do I upgrade the bios using the skylake one?

Its just not clear. thanks in advance. 😕

flash the kabylake BIOS while the 6600 is installed, otherwise the 7700 won´t be recognized and you won´t be able to flash the BIOS with the newer Kabylake CPU

Thank you, I will make these changes and report back.
I appreciate it. I wasn't sure if flashing with the Kabylake would work with current Skylake chip. All its doing is adding microcode right?

What is the make/model of the motherboard?
The support page will identify any required bios levels to run a i7-7700.
CPU-Z will identify the motherboard and the current bios level.

So the motherboard is below running BIOS 1102.
H110 CHIPSET?

The current bios is 1102 for skylake and 0804 for kabylake.
Would the current bios think I'm trying to downgrade?

The motherboard model is irrelevant in this case, it is a special H110 chipset board for the pre-built setup
