Asus M3N-HT deluxe/hdmi will not read sata drives

I've tried everything I can think of, including updating bios and I can not get it to read any type of sata drives, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

with older mb it may have a size limit of 1tb or less. with new larger drives you need efi bios to read the drives that large. in the bios make sure the sata ports set to ide and your using port 1-4 for ide. make sure the asmedia ports are off. also if your power supply sata power cable has gone bad the drives wont spin or be seen. check that the drives are moving.
