I have a client who bought this ASUS laptop to control an external engraving machine. Unfortunately the Software does not work on Windows 10, so I need to install WinXP or Windows 7.

I have bought a Windows 7 Key and I have eventually found out how to boot the Laptop from that USB. However, the installation fails every time and it looks like this is because I need to enable CSM / Legacy processing in the UEFI / BIOS, but it doesn't seem possible. I have looked at Flashing the BIOS to an older version, but the ASUS website tells me I can't do this.

Can I not do that ? Surely any BIOS for this machine should install and work ok ?

I need to urgently reboot this PC and Install Windows 7 as I am entitled to do, why would ASUS have removed the option for me to do this ? Is there a way of me getting this option ?!?

I have messaged ASUS but without response  !!!

The UEFI / BIOS is entitled APTIO Setup Utility, 2021 AMI

Version 2.20.1271
