ASUS M4A78LT-M memory support

So i have been having something on my mind about the ASUS M4A78LT-M RAM support. Does the motherboard support 8gb of ram with a Phenom x4 925 hooked with it? On cnet.com said it can support 16gb, and i dont beleive that. Can it atleast support 8gb of ram or even 6gb both clocked at 1600mhz?

From ASUS website , that motherboard supports up to 16GB, and you should trust them as they made the motherboard.
Also your motherboard has support for 1600 MHz memory.
