Hi i have an Asus m4a79xtd evo
With 16 gig ram
1 terabyte HD
AMD Athlon 2 x4 3.0 processor

I had hooked up and tried to install Windows 7 but for some reason It would not complete installation

It said that it was missing an installation file but i could install it on a different motherboard with no problem. I chatted with asus and they said it was the Windows, which doesn't make sense since it installed no problem on a different board.

Any help would be helpful.

Where did you source the installer from? You should try and recreate the installer and then try installing your OS while the HDD is on the first SATA port native to your chipset. Speaking of chipset, list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:

The PSU is a cool max 485 watt
I can't see it being the installer when it would install on a different board as for the #1 sata port that one is broken off could that cause it problems.

Well that isn't my problem its still not installing the os can any one give me a hand i have to of the same boards and both have the same issues i asked Asus and they said that they didn't have any problems with this board im beguining to think other wise.
