I'm choosing parts for my new PC. I know that's wrong, but I first chose the CPU - AMD Phenom ii x4 955, and video card - Ati radeon 5870. Thinkin of bying the Asus M4A79XTD EVO motherboard:
1. Will it work with other parts?
2. HOW will it work (what do you think of it)?
3. What can you advice instead for about the same price (+- 50$)?

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

1- What do you mean with other parts?. Processors? only AMD socket AM3, RAM anyone in Dual-channel, GPU, anyone in Crossfire for ATI, or only one nVidia
2- That is a very good mobo, have a good OC capability, support a good RAM speed and OC RAM.
3- Well, that is a good mobo, and currently I thinking in buy a new mobo and RAM for my X4 955, but I thinking in go for one of this: GIGABYTE GA-790FXTA-UD5 or ASUS M4A89GTD PRO. Not sure about the 2nd one, I prefer more the 1st one.
