Asus M4A88T-I Deluxe max RAM?

the site says two memory slots which supports a max of 8GB, so that equates to 16GB, So it will support 16GB Ram.

2 x Small Outline DIMM, Max. 8 GB, DDR3 1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel memory architecture

Yeah 🙁 But I've got several MBs here that support more RAM than the MFG's claim, just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with 16GB on this board before I drop the money to find out...

Hi, I have the same question. Not that 8GB is not enough for me at the moment, but in the future it would be a nice upgrade....

Funds are tied up building a server at the moment, so I can't buy the RAM to test. If you do, let me know. I'll do the same when I finally buy it.

True, but I've had dozens of motherboards over the years that would take more than their stated RAM amounts, including back in the day when 486 boards could take 2MB/4MB SIMMs rather than the 1MB SIMMs the mfg claimed. Was just hoping someone had tried using two 8GB SODIMMs on this ASUS board before I drop $150 to try it.

ASUS M4A88T-I Deluxe 16GB RAM 2x8GB DDR3 support and working fine

@rzuber:

What memory did you use to achieve this?

I'm looking into buying a Crucial 2x8gb kit (CT2KIT102464BF1339) for my ASUS M4A88T-I Deluxe motherboard. This should be compatible right?

If you do not reply I will update my BIOS to the latest version and hope for the best.

I will be sure to post another comment to let everyone know if this upgrade is successful after it is attempted.

Thanks for any help.
