Hello, I have a home built computer with asus m4a88td-v evo/usb3 that powers on for one second and turns off! I have went through the checklist provided on this website for common problems with no avail! Please advise what to do next. Thank you! Mike

Yes, the funny thing is this. I've done all sorts of troubleshooting on it.. All that I know to do. Power supply too. It's been a week or so since I last tried, been busy with exams. So, the only configuration that works is when the board is totally plugged in EXCEPT the additional 4pin for the 24 pin connector is connected. The fans and gpu start spinning and lighting up etc... Then you plug in the 4 pin to the 24 connector, and it dies... Does that spark anything? Thanks, Mike
Actually, I just took all the components out of the case and laid them out connected. The 4 pin thing isn't even working. Maybe I was imagining that it was working? Seriously though, I've got it all laid out ready to go through this thing...with just the 24 pin connector and the CPU connector plugged in, still starts for a second then dies...so any advice from here would be great!

So, I bought a new psu. Put it in and ran for a while. Went to bed, and in the morning it wouldn't "wake up". The power button light was flashing. Unplugged it let it fully loose charge for a day or so. Now the power light doesn't even flash and I'm back to square one. Turns off for a half second, then off...
