I built a computer using these parts:

ASUS M5A78l
AMD FX 6300
RAM DDR3 4 gb
GTX 650

when I try to install windows 7, it won't let me install it. I got a message saying that I can't install windows in my disk. Enable disk's controller in Bios menu.

I tried a few things but didn't work for me.
did anyone ever run through this problem?
please help.

Check if HDD's sata cabs are plugged in very good. Sata cabs can be removed very easy by one move. There is also one more problem. I had to use my pc for 3 weeks and it couldn't start because it couldn't red windows from the HDD. The HDD was cold. This happens also in new drives like yours. Reboot your PC a few times and you'll be ok.

Note that I rebooted my PC 28 times before windows load.

I haven't worked out with the BIOS of this motherboard, so I don't know how to change it. Try googling this "ASUS M5A78 BIOS walkthrough".
