ASUS M5A78L-M LX3 compatibility with amd fx 8300

My only question is if I need any bios updates to use the FX 8300 AMD CPU. Please help!

well like asus is I cant see where the supported cpu list or any support page for that matter ?? that's not good what do you do for the boards drivers /bios downloads ??

all I see is all you got to go by here is under spec's /cpu/ AMD AM3+ FX™/Phenom™ II/Athlon™ II/Sempron™ 100 Series Processors Supports CPU up to 95 W

I guess you need to find a trusted site that supplies the memory and the cpu supported/test lists ??

As junkeymonkey states, Asus support site is down right now. But that board has an AM3+ socket and the AM+ FX-8300 is a 95W CPU. So I can think of no reason why it wouldn't support it.
