Asus M5A78L-M LX3 dual channel ecc and non ecc

Hi!
I have Asus M5A78L-M LX3 i have one stick 8gb ddr3 1866mhz non-ecc
Can i use one stick ecc and one non-ecc?

I'm an advocate for not mixing and matching rams. Either work with ECC or Non ECC don't mix them together.

The ECC stick likely wouldn't work even by itself as the memory controller only support non-ecc memory.
