ASUS m5a78l/usb 3 - usb 3 error code 24

After fresh install of Windows 8 pro 64 bits, theASUS m5a78l/usb3 ASMedia 1042 does not work, even with driver installation.

ASUS informs the mainboard is Windows 8 ready, yeah...

Bios is updated

On Windows 7 it Works perfectly
Tried different drivers versions, none worked

Windows updates also did not work

Any ideas?

Might reset BIOS to defaults and try reloading the driver

Not sure then, maybe somebody will hop in, if not I'll try and check out the mobo closer this evening, am going to be a bit tied up with a couple of rigs, but will see if I can find anything

another thing, with windows 8 32 bits version, no problems either

Well, you're getting this issue bcz some of your system files got deleted. Run System File Checker (SFC) tool to check if the problem still persists. More diagnostic solutions here.

I fixed running IOLO Sytem Mechanic, it detected some sort of conflict which could interfere with hardware detection

FIXED so easily!
