So, this have been my biggest problem in overclocking so far.

I've been overclocking my CPU (AMD FX-8120) at 4.0Ghz and when my CPU temperature gets about 50-55 Celsius my CPU clocks gets lowered to 1.4Ghz. There is nothing wrong with my cooling system (I have 4 case fans and CPU cooler is CM 212 evo). I'm thinking that my motherboard is lowering and trying to save my CPU for not overheating or something like that. Is there anything i can do to disable that function?

I've already asked overclocking guides and followed them and yeah they work, but this "overheating" is driving me crazy.

Solution
FHeatsinks would help some, but getting them on properly would be a challenge. I'd try the fans first, then Heatsinks and fans, and remove the fans if the heatsinks work well.
Easy to explain, hard to fix.

The motherboard you have lacks heatsinks on its VRMs, the power delivery components located between the CPU socket and the rear I/O shield. That motherboard is not really suitable for anything more than a stock FX63??, and not a FX8??? of any sort, and certainly not overclocked.

Your power delivery system is overheating and then thermally throttling to prevent (or delay) permanent motherboard damage. It has nothing really to do with the CPU except in as much the CPU is demanding more power than the motherboard can supply.

The best 'solution' available is to zip tie a spare case fan into your case so that it blows directly on the VRM components helps cool them. A second fan blowing on the rear of the board can help more.

Best choice, get another motherboard.

Thanks for answer!

I have actually dropped 2 cores off to use it as 6 core CPU, and it have already helped a lot. So there is no way to disable the function that is throttling down the cores and trying to save my motherboard? If there isn't I really need to look for a new board... sadly. Anyways thanks for tips!

Ok, thanks for answer. If I buy heatsinks to my VRM and apply them. Would it help more than extra fans ? If it does, I'm thinking to buy them and maybe extra fan.

I probably try heatsinks and my friend knows more about installing them so I'm not doing it alone. Thank you much for your help and time!
