[SOLVED] Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 only one of 2x4GB Kingston RAM sticks useable

I am having some trouble with two RAM sticks on the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 MOBO. I am using two Kingston 4GB (KVR1333D3N9/4G) RAM sticks in the blue slots on the MOBO. When in the BIOS settings, both RAM sticks are recognised in the "Tools" menu, but the total memory is only 4GB on the "Main" menu. When running the OS (Win 11) only 3.9 GB RAM is available although also 8 GB are recognised by the system.

but as far as I understand these were related to either two different (incompatible) RAM sticks, having the wrong speed or voltage setting or updating the BIOS. In my case the BIOS is up-to-date (2701) and the settings for the RAM sticks are 1333 MHz and 1.5 V as should be according to the manual,

As a side note, I ran the same setup before on a Asus M5A97 MOBO where the problem did not occur. After it broke, I substituted for the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 MOBO, where the described problem occurs.

The 4GB stick you bought is not present in the list of DDR3 1333 supported by this motherboard.

Not sure whether it's the cause, but that's what Asus has to say.

I see, maybe that causes the issue. I wasn't aware that the two version of the motherboard (M5A97 and M5A97 LE R2.0) support different sticks. Thank you!
