New to computer world, trying my first build. Can't seem to get the display to work.

Currently installed:

Asus m5a97 motherboard
AMD 8350 cpu
Seagate barracuda 1.5 tb 3.5 inch HDD
Pny 128 gb sad
EVGA 650G 80+ Gold rated power supply
4x4 16gb corsair vengeance 1600
MSI GTX 770 4Gb twin FROZR gpu

I'm realatively inexperienced but I can't for the life of me get any video to appear. When I power it on, all the fans are working properly, the cpu cooling unit is working, the fans on the gtx 770 are spinning, and the light on the motherboard is showing up as green.

I've tried removing the sticks of RAM, trying again with just one, making sure they're clean. Ive double checked that everything is securely plugged in.

I don't have access to a speaker currently for listening to beeps, and the only thing I can connect the computer to is a tv for the moment via HDMI. I've tried also using a dvi to HDMI adapter with no luck either.

I also don't have access to more computer parts to swap around which I know is not ideal. Any suggestions?

Yes, the two 8 pin connections from the power supply to the graphics card are plugged in and the fans are chugging along nicely it seems.

Well that's all I wanted to know, often the auxiliary cables are overlooked, especially if previous GPU didn't need any.

Obviously you haven't overlooked it.

Check your PSU rating plate - - MSI GTX 770 needs at least 42 amps on the 12v rail. Maybe that's it - - not enough amps?
I can't check it 'cos I can't find any details on the EVGA 650G 80+ Gold (G1 & G2 listed, not G).
