Question Asus M5A97 R2.0

So I have this Motherboard. It has an eatx12v 8 pin connector on the board. My psu only has a 6 pin. So I need a psu with an 8 pin? And could someone recommend a budget one? Thanks in ad vance

I don't have a specific recomendation for you since you haven't listed all of your components but I will say DO NOT buy a "budget" PSU. Everything in the box relies on clean, stable power and buying a cheap PSU is a sure way to toast your machine.

Ok let me reword this. I have an Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard. It has an 8 pin eatx socket on the motherboard. My PSU only has a 6 pin male connector. I'm pretty sure I need the 8 pin in order for the board to boot into bios am I correct? If I am correct I need a new PSU with an 8 pin male connector right? Is there a reason you need a component list? I can't even get it to boot to bios
