I think you meant the "Asus M5A97 R2." That space in the middle of the a and 9 makes it kinda off. Yes, it does support that processor.

It is working but even with Updated BIOS will not recognise installed ram.
2 issues;USB drivers Will Not install,Memory Configuration WRONG-installed 16GB -memory details below
1-SERIAL BUS CONTROLLER (usb) DRIVERS NOT INSTALLED The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28),PCI bus 2, device 0, function Downloaded From Manufacturer's site but still not OK! Ordered a Driver Update DVD
