Asus M5A97 Rev 1.02 / PNY Geforce GTX 960

I recently attempted to upgrade my build from a Geforce GT 560 to a GTX 960 and got no video signal, but the fan on the GPU spins. When I replace the 560, the computer works fine. I flashed the BIOS to the most recent version as well with no luck. Any idea if the 960 is incompatible with the Rev. 1.02 motherboard?
