I am water cooling my AMD FX 6300 Socket type AM3+. Motherboard, Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0. I was wondering if i have to remove the cpu socket to mount a xspc raystorm AMD cpu Block? Thanks For the Help Guys.

You have to remove the plastic fan-holder parts and then put the metal backplate back on and mount your CPU-block directly to the old backplate.

Practically impossible to remove socket, where would you put CPU than ? All you may have to remove is plastic CPU cooler holder surrounding socket and use kit provided by that cooler block.
