im having a little problem.. im using max. extreme mobo ddr3 1800 mhz dominator ram
Q6600 cpu . For some reasson at default with no over clocking its reading my cpu at 2.7Ghz and FSB at 1800 Mhz
is there a reasson y its ocing it self? im using Vista ultimate. my cpu temp is 22c Vcore 1.40...... SB is at 4.08v...... is there any reasson y its doing this? please help

the only way i can get it to default is by reseting the bios and hiting f2 if i reset and go to bios it goes back to 2.7 ghz and 1800 FSB is this because of my ram. also is it safe to leave it at 1800 fsb and 2.7 ghz

Hell, whats the problem. I would bump it up to q6850. Tha board you have is Asus Maximus Extreme? If so you can pic different CPUS in the Bios and it will adjust accordingly. You can pick q6700. q6800, q6850, and crazy. Your s should run at the q6850 setting no problem.

the problem is 1800 FSB!! on a q6600 LOL

If it is running 2.7 on 1800 FSB it is because th multupplier is set wrong. The multiplier would have to be 6 at that speed. The multiplier should be set to 9.

ok i fixed that issue but the volts on my SB seem a little high they are at 4.0v is this normal?
