but there isn't a huge difference running 2 high end at dual x8 loss performance only 3 to 4%.

well, the z68 is more better if you can afford to buy an p8z68 then go with it without any doubt.

z68 is better in performance wise, ssd caching,faster video editing and conversion,switchable graphics,built in graphics etc where sabortooth doesn't have these features.

p78 doesn't take over z68 vpro rather z68 vpro takes over p67 as i stated above see and sabortooth x58 is design for lga 1336 while p8z68 vpro is for lga 1155 which are latest.
