ASUS MAXIMUS IX FORMULA A2 Error Code with Hardware Component Failure Beeps

First let me say this is my first ever PC Build and I am extremely new to it. I have an Asus Maximus IX Formula MB and I have everything hooked up as I believe it should be. When I boot the computer I get an error code (A2) and get the 1 long beep 4 short beeps (Hardware Component Failure). I have unplugged my ssd, the GPU, and all but one stick of RAM which I have cycled between the 2 sticks I have. With all combos I get the same thing and nothing on the screen. I am assuming this means either the CPU or MB are bad. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try to plug the drive you want the OS on and your optical drive only, boot from CD drive. any additional drives makes the bios crazy without a OS yet.
