My new Maximus Hero IX w/my 7700k boots up to windows, but none of the network drivers, wireless & ethernet, install.

I have updated the Bios. I reset the CMOS. I Updated the Chipset. I tried the ethernet and wireless drivers from the disc. I tried the Intel ethernet driver. I tried the ethernet driver from the Maximus IX page on Asus' website...none of them install, none work. The network adapter shows up in the Bios, but not in Windows' device manager.

No idea what to do now. I don't know how this is so difficult...if it's not, help please?

"Cannot install drivers. No Intel Adapters are present in this computer."

That is from when I try to install the driver that is on the motherboard's website...

When I try from the disc, it just shows it as not being installed after going through all the drivers, then it asks you to restart.

Like I said, the network adapter is present in my Bios.

EVERYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH YOUR MAXIMUS IX AND INTEL ETHERNET DRIVERS, DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE HOTFIXES FROM THIS PAGE, THEN INSTALL THE INTEL ETHERNET DRIVERS:

https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1031868/

DON'T ASK ASUS SUPPORT. THEY OPEN THE MANUAL TO SEARCH FOR AN ANSWER...I ALREADY READ THE MANUAL, I HAD TO SEARCH THROUGH ASUS' WEBSITE FOR THIS, IT WAS BURIED BURIED BURIED.

I REALLY WISH SOME OF THESE COMPUTER HARDWARE COMPANIES ACTUALLY STOPPED TO THINK ABOUT THE USER ONCE IN A WHILE. MY GOD.

MAN I SHOULD BE USED TO PEOPLE AND COMPANIES FAILING ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN BY NOW BUT ASUS YOU REALLY CHAPPED MY ASS.

I had the exact same problem and error message "Cannot install drivers. No Intel Adapters are present in this computer". I contacted support and they said to update BIOS and if that did not work bring to local service center?

Anyways updating BIOS did not work, hot fixes mentioned here did not work (some message came up saying does not apply), Intel standalone drivers did not work, and I was about to give up when I made one more last ditch effort.

Re-installed windows but selected custom options where I deleted partitions, made new partition and selected load drivers, inserted flash drive with Intel(R) Gigabit Ethernet Driver V21.1.30.0 downloaded from Asus site and pointed to Pro1000/Winx64/NDIS65 folder. Then remove flash drive and insert windows installer (flash drive) and continue on with installation. This actually worked and was able to use NIC without any problems so far.

I was having the same issue, where the cd for the motherboard would install all drivers except the LAN drivers. I tried downloading the most up to date drivers from the asus support site for my Maximus IX Hero. Tried installing that driver from my flash drive with no luck, tried a couple times still no luck. After that I updated the BIOS via flash drive, still no luck installing the LAN driver from flash drive or motherboard disc.

I used the hotfix from the post where the guy is typing in all caps, installed that, computer restarted and applied said updates. Ran the intel ethernet driver stuff via flash drive again and it worked. Hopefully this helps anyone else who is having a hard time.

Camdoz you just saved my weekend! Please guys you need to upvote and thank him, run the HOTFIX he posted, download both and whatever one installs is your friend. Restart windows until it says "applying updates" (took me two restarts I was about to nuke windows when "applying updates" showed up during my restart to boot back from flash. So instead of booting from flash I decided to run the lan drivers once more, this time being sure I downloaded the exact right ones, and damn it if the hotfix didnt work! Thank you brother!
