Asus Maximus IX usb 2.0 port can not fit Cosair H115i 9 pin usb header.

I recently build an Asus Maximus IX motherboard using a Corsair H115i cooling kit. The cable from the Cooling system located directly above the CPU will not fit any headesr on the motherboard. Is this because the motherboard want to control the fans instead of the Corsair program?
