[SOLVED] ASUS Maximus Ranger viii BIOS

So i just built my new computer and it doesn't seem to want to give power to the keyboard or any signal to the monitor. Also a post code of 04 appears.

Here are my specs
i7-7700k intel core
GTX 1080
ASUS Maximus Ranger viii
Corsair Vengence RAM 3000Mhz
550W power supply

You probably need to update the BIOS of the motherboard to accept the new CPU.

I tried that and it blinks for 5 seconds then goes solid which ASUS says on their website that it means it didnt install correctly

That solid consistently lit indicates an error and usually it's either a bad USB or the USB is not formatted to FAT32, single partition or the Bios file has not been renamed correctly. Once the Bios file (on it's own) is on the USB it should be renamed to M8R.CAP.
As your using the rear IO panel to flashback then make sure to use the USB port that is bottom left of the Flashback button.
