Asus Maximus V Extreme error q-code 20

Hi guys,

Building a PC:
Asus Maximus V extreme motherboard
6gb radeon hd 3990
intel i7-3770k
224gb corsair SSD
1000w coolermaster silent gold pro
bitfenix colossus case
no ODD installed yet so no operating system

Anyway, I put everything together except the disk drive (arrives next week) and everything seems to be powered on and functions but theres no output to screen via hdmi, and the motherboard is giving me an error q-code "20" which isn't in the manual. Anyone have similar troubles? Please help 🙁

Hi, What memory using? Have you tried starting with single RAM stick installed?

tried with one stick, no difference :/

I fiddled around with some of the parts and now I'm getting the AE error code which I looked up to mean "legacy boot event". Any ideas?

It's related to the absence of a boot device.

Yes, you should. How is the monitor connected, HDMI or DVI?
