asus maximus vi formula

I plan on building a custom water cooled system soon and I want to use the asus maximus formula vi motherboard. I found out the crosschill block is aluminum and will that be a major problem? They said it anodized though.

The formula VI is a board optimised for both air-cooling and water-cooling so you shouldn't have a problem.

hmmm, according to this site ( http://www.overclock.net/t/1425495/asus-maximus-vi-formula-aluminium-crosschill ) - mix in a 70-80 water/ 20-30 anti-freeze mixture and run it until the blocks come out,
Or, according to the same site you should instead buy a Asus Maximus VI Hero ( http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VI_HERO/ )
