I just want to know if CPU_OPT_FAN always constantly 12v even If I set CPU_FAN header to silent? reason I ask is I have H100i v2 I want to plug the pump to CPU_OPT_FAN which is constantly at 12v even if I have Qfan on? And plugging the radiator fans on CPU_FAN so I can control it wit thin bios Qfan etc. I want to be sure CPU_OPT and CPU_FAN connectors are not in sync.

I think for Asus fan control cpuopt and cpufan are separated, you can assign cpu opt to max, that should give u 12v

I don’t like controlling FAN’s through bloat-ware software on Windows 10, No, CPU_FAN, and CPU_OPT_FAN are in sync, what ever you set CPU_FAN it mirrors it to CPU_OPT_FAN so what I did is plug in my top case fan to CPU_OPT_FAN, and both H100i v2 fans to CPU_FAN. I plug in my H100i v2 pump to FAN_2 disabled Q-FAN just for FAN2 so it can run 100% 12V it’s shows FAN_2 running at constantly at 968rpm. Enabled Q-FAN for the rest of the headers so depending how much the CPU stresses the motherboard kicks in the fans as much it needs to.
