Asus Maximus VII ranger - A2 ' blackscreen - no signal

Hi guys,

Im building new PC:
xeon 1246 v3
Asus maximus VII Ranger 1150
Corsair Domi 16 GB
Asus GTX 980
SSD connected with SATA
HDD connected with SATA

The issue is:
- i've connected all the cables (checked 10 times)
- GPU isnt connected (it doesnt matter - tried both way)
- launching PC - black screen 'No signal' ; coolers are working
code 'A2'
Guide says it's 'IDE detect' , but I do not have any IDE connection.

I'm a little bit frustrated with this spending 6 hours of brainstorming.

Any idea where is the mistake ?

Hi, With A2 there should be signal on the monitor. What ports using for connecting the monitor? Any adapter involved?

Okay. I replaced DVI-DVI cabel and now I can see everything on my display but 'A2' is still present.

A2 means that the system can't find a bootable device. Try connecting/inserting one (Windows USB/DVD).

It's gone
Now it says AO (or A0 not sure) - does it mean everything is okay ?

Yes. Enjoy the setup.
Codes are not errors, they show the system state. And also help in troubleshooting, in case something goes wrong.
