ASUS Maximus VII Ranger + GTX 970 SLII

Pretty stupid question and I'm sure the answer is yes but I'd rather ask it and be sure before wasting money.

I have that motherboard and want to put 2 GTX 970 in SLI configuration. Will I run into any unexpected problems or will it work okay? I know the motherboard is SLI compatible but since these are really new cards I'd rather be sure.
