Im making a gaming PC and Im in a budget. I do gaming and waching blu ray movies. Im going for an i7 4790k 4.4GHz. But I can't decide between Hero and Ranger. Also looking for future proofing.

i would yeah cause even if you ever wanted to overclock they have a program called Ai Suite which has 5 way optimization which is good if your a beginner on overclocking

Wtf, the suggestions given in this thread were flat out horrible.
Why on earth would you suggest (or, as OP) a $200+ motherboard with lots of stuff the Op doesn't know about, doesn't need and won't ever use, when it was mentioned that it is for a budget build? If you for some reason definitely want to suggest asus boards, at least take into account what the op needs and suggest something like the z97-a. Even though, for just $110 you can have a z97x-sli that features everything he needs (and more), which would fit into a budget much more likely. Bit even then, without overclocking or sli, z97 boards don't really make sense except for m.2 support.
