I see no reason to upgrade unless you want to get a broadwell CPU. Z87 EXTREME6 is a very high end board, and can support any current LGA1150 CPU, with a BIOS update. What's the reason behind updating?

Im more about the looks of it. I know this is a high end motherboard. What about that asus motherboard that supports the new cpu and ddr3?

That board is good, but each and every CPU and DDR3 memory that Asus board supports is supported by your board as well.

Fine. Would i be able to install the broadwell cpu chipset to the z97 motherboard when its out ?

If you get any Z97 board right now, it'd require a BIOS update to support Broadwell when it's out.
