Asus Maximus VIII Formula won't work!

Hi, HELP needed please!!! I have started to build my fresh new PC. I've installed the CPU and DDR4 to the motherboard. I've connected the chassis fans and CPU cooler. Then I've connected connected the power unit to the mono. When I switch on the power unit to test the fans, the mob lights keep blinking and changing colours. When I press start button nothing happens. Fans and cooler does not seem to have energy. i've tested separately the power unit and works fine. i've tried all the above with other power unit and the behaviour is equal. Do I have a faulty motherboard? What can I do?

Thanks. I'll do that. But what do you think could be the problem of the case? I was careful not to fix the motherboard very hard to the case (Lian-Li PC-09)

No problem. Just to rule out a short.
