so put together my rig, and keep get the 1 continuous beep followed by four beeps, indicating hardware component failure. unplugged everything and reinstalled it, same thing. Called ASUS and the sayd from what the can tell is the my ram wasn't compatible. i have the GSKILL ripsaws V 2x8gb(16gb) (f4-2400c15d-16vr). in the mobo manual it does not have this part number under its compatible RAM. But under PCpartpicker the ram is compatible. i was wondering if it is or isn't, and to see if i may have another problem instead of just waiting 3 days for the new sticks to come in

code 99

with 1 stick in… 1 beep + 4beeps. q code 99 / A2

after unplugging everything and removing the video card. and leaving one stick of ram in. i still get code 99 but now the beeps goes 1 quick one. 5 seconds later 1 more quick beep and that its. still will not boot to my monitor as well

after doing this code switched from 99 to 66

its in the one image of the cpu. but fan connected to the CPU fan pin and pump connected to the pump pin

That would be error b6, not 66 :)

You probably have a corrupted BIOS. Update it to teh latest version using teh BIOS flashback feature.
Remove the ram and truns the sytem off. EDIT: NOT IN THAT ORDER :))

1. Download the 1701 BIOS file: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/MAXIMUS_VIII_RANGER/MAXIMUS-VIII-RANGER-ASUS-1701.zip
2. Format a USB pendrive to FAT32.
3. Extract the BIOS file and rename the file to M8R.CAP.
4. Put the BIOS file on your USB pendrive.
5. Connect the USB pendrive to the usb flashback port(check manual).
6. Press the USB BIOS Flashback button/ROG Connect button for three seconds till the LED begins to blink, then release.
7. Wait until the LED stops blinking.
8. Power on your system.

This is all done with teh system off.

First, do that BIOS update. The normal way, no need for flashback. Then load defaults, restart, enter again and set your options and save. After thios you stand a much better chance of booting with the AIO cooler.
