Asus Maximus VIII Ranger with Corsair H60 CPU cooler, where does the pump connector go?

Hello,

This is my first PC build. I have an Asus Maximus VII Ranger motherboard, and I was confused by the fact that the H60 has two plugs, the 4 pin is attached to the fan, and the 3 pin is attached to the pump. I'm assuming the fan can go anywhere on the mother board, but where does the 3-pin pump go?

At the top of the MB, the fan should go into the CPU fan header and the pump should plug into the pump header. They are both labeled 3 on page 1-7.

Thanks for the prompt reply. So the pump has 4 pins, is it still ok for a three pin to go in it? As for the CPU fan, left of it (if I'm reading the labels correctly) is the CPU_OPT, can I ignore this?

The CPU_OPT is for a second CPU fan. Yes, the 3 pin pump attachment can go into the 4 pin pump header. It probably has a ridge or groove on it so it will only insert one way.
