I’ll include a full parts list below. But the short version is, I have a STRIC 1080ti and both of their LEDs light when I hit the power switch on the psu. Both the case power button and the motherboards “start” button do nothing. The start button is lit red, if that matters. I assumed when I got my power supply years ago, it was a thermal power supply. As it worked fine, but the fan didn’t spin up when I tested it. So I can’t use th normal paper clip method. Help?

Got the new motherboard installed, and everything is working great! Sending the old one back tomorrow, guess it was the problem after all. Thanks for all your help.

Don’t have one. I have an ancient power supply that doesn’t even come close to the power requirements for the system, but I doubt it’d work.

System was first built in June of 2015. I’ve had the psu since then, almost every other component is new. It’s worked fine with the 1080 it, but I recently got a new Ssd, cpu, and mobo.

Just pulled everything but the cpu and cooler, including RAM, nothing. How do I safely remove the cmos battery? I’ve tried clearing the cmos several times with the button on th board, but nothing. And I don’t want to damage it by remove it wrong.

Just got back from Best Buy with a new power supply. Tested it same as before, nothing plugged in except for the cpu, cpu cooler, and mobo power. Nothing.

Before I test that. I have my AIO’s pump connector (3 pin) plugged into the 4pin AIO pump connector on the motherboard. I read online that this was safe, electrically, could that be causing any problems?

Just tested the fan - nothing. I’m assuming that means my motherboard is bad. Running out to the Microcenter to grab a replacement now.

I’ll try with my older power supply first. I wasn’t able to find anything permanent at Best Buy, so unless there is potential for damaging the board if that psu is dead, I’ll just stick to that in hopes of not having to order another gold certified psu. That seem safe/logical to you?
