[SOLVED] Asus maximus xi hero Firmware Update

I noticed a new Intel ME updatetool on the Asus webpage. Does Microsoft add these drivers? Should I install the drivers from Asus? Also in the description for this driver they say *We suggest you update ME Driver to the latest Version 12.0.81.1753v4 simultaneously". Simultaneously with what? nothing mentioned in the discription.

Asus update the page with drivers that they get from chip makers. Not Microsoft.

Well, the ME Update is listed on the BIOS page so it could be inferred you update the tool at the same time as updating the BIOS

whether you need to install it depends on what BIOS you are on. If you not updating that you may not need driver. I only update drivers if I have problems or if PC is new and it can make features works better.

If you are on current BIOS. you should also be on latest Intel ME

The firmware header is out of place, clearly that should be under Intel ME header
