ASUS MG248Q Gaming Monitor - DP no signal!

Hi everyone of tom's Hardware!

I'm new to the community but decided to join when I encountered a problem with my ASUS MG248G Gaming Monitor.

I've had this monitor for about 4 months now and it worked totally fine with the DisplayPort cable plugged into my MSI Graphics Card (GTX 1070)

This problem happened once before and it was resolved by replacing the stock DP cable with a new one. My monitor worked fine for about a week until today; where I woke up to DisplayPort - No Signal.

The problem is not with the graphics card because my other monitors work just fine with the same DP input. Could it be my monitor?

For now I'm using the HDMI connection for my monitor but I would love to resolve my problem - and maybe get a replacement monitor if the one I own is defective.

Hello,

I just recently ordered a brand new Rankie DP cable from Amazon and I received it today in the mail. I plugged it in and (since I was on HDMI as a temporary replacement) my monitor switched to DP but found no signal. I have now resolved that this is not a cable issue but I don't know what to do now. Should I ask ASUS for a replacement?
