Hello everyone! About 3 months ago I purchased this Asus monitor (Its in the title name) and it was working fine, I got it to run 144hz and it was smooth as butter. About 3 days ago I got a virus on my computer that bricked windows, so like any normal person I reinstalled windows 10. Everything was working fine until today. I did not install anything on this build of windows I simply left the computer on and when I got back both displays were black. (windows sleep mode) My other display running off of hdmi which is a Acer G22HQL (Both of the displays are routed into the graphics card which is a gtx 980 strix) I move the mouse expecting both of them to wake up and only one does the Acer monitor. I then reinstall the graphics card into another PciE port and it stays the same. I then reset bios and nothing there fixed it. So it has to be software. I went into nvidia control panel to look for the monitor display settings and both monitors were listed there but the Acer monitor was ticked on while the Asus monitor was ticked off. I ticked the Asus monitor on and it did not work it stayed unticked and made the computer lag for like 10 seconds. I then reinstalled nvidia drivers, at least it said I did. It wanted me to reboot so I did and I came back to nvidia drivers being installed still. I I am now contacting nvidia support.

Edit: they did not know anything

Solution
Make sure it is not just failed cable or GPU output port. If both monitors use HDMI, swap ports on GPU as test 1, and swap HDMI cables as test 2.

They are both different and I have plugged the Display port into other ports

Hdmi worked weirdly I had to use an adapter tho. It was hdmi to displayport, this is not a fix sadly because its a 144hz and this only display 60

Well the cable did break I guess, I actually have no idea how it did. Think I should complain to asus since they provided it I legit have no idea on how it broke on me.
