DO NOT get the PG278Q. Still suffers heavily from backlight bleeding over a year after release.
Is also TN compared to the XB271HU and MG279Q's IPS panels, meaning viewing angles are poor, and brightness will differ between the top and bottom of the screen when viewing in front of it due to the nature of TN panels.

If you want G-Sync get the XB270HU or the XB271HU if you want a slimmer bezel and overclockable refresh rate.
Both are 1440p 144hz native, IPS panel and include G-Sync.
The XB271HU goes for the same price as a PG278Q and the XB270HU costs about $50-100 less because of the less attractive aesthetics.
Both are better options than the PG278Q, which is only popular due to the heavy marketing campaign surrounding E-Sports...
