Asus MoBo M5A97 R2.0 beeping

Good evening...

After about a year the mother board starts to beep, I have noticed a decrease of performance (from low response to pc freeze) first I though it was for overheating but I have the feeling that is something else (I don't use it everyday, it's a computer that I bought to my brother when he joined college) today I used it and opened the asus sensor recorder:

I discarded temperature when I was working from 40 to 60 c and the beeping started after ~2 hours

Now my question is... do you know what might be causing it?
Is it possible to fix it?

I can't view the photo/video (could by my network), but the first thing that concerns me is the temp. Is this the CPU temp or the internal case temp? If it is CPU, you should remove the heatsink fan, and then clean the top of the CPU. Use 70+% rubbing alcohol. Reapply thermal paste and the test again.

If this temp is the air temp inside the case, consider getting more or better case fans.

The performance issue could be a number of problems, but CPU seems to be the most likely suspect at the moment.

If you can, test the RAM using MemTest86+. Either burn the disc image to a CD, or create a bootable USB version. MT86+ runs independently of Windows, so if using a CD, you'll need to ensure the optical disc drive is first in boot order. Allow test to run 4-6 passes. "Pass" in this sense doesn't mean success, rather the context is "pass through". This will take a few hours, so do it overnight or when you can be away from the computer for a while.

the temp worries me too, I'm using the stock fan and I been wondering why the temperature is so high (it's AMD and I heard that things tend to get hot fast) I don't know where is the sensor for the cpu, (there's once attached to the heat sink and it is 10c lower than the cpu) I could try a tool that gives more reliable information than that. I have never used the themal paste, any suggestion on what kind or how to apply it? I'm open to all suggestions since I got two computers that might be having the very same problem (temperature)

as for the beeping, following the chart for Standard Original IBM POST Error Codes it's Power supply or system board problem (that was my though but what is the problem? vague answers makes me sad)

Just to name a few...

I would use all three, and then compare the readings to the BIOS/UEFI.

I recommend Artic Silver 5 for thermal paste. Reapplying thermal paste is quite easy, but first, clean off the existing paste from both the CPU and the heatsink. I recommend using 70+% rubbing alcohol, because alcohol evaporates very quickly.

To reapply thermal paste on AMD chips, use the Middle Dot method.
